Welcome to the San Francisco Rod, Custom & Motorcycle Show Website
We look forward to seeing you at the 2009 show!

We at RpProductions have a true love and a commitment to the tradition of the automotive shows that began in America in the 1940's. You will not see a larger show or one with more quality or variety in Northern California. In the 1950’s the president and founder of our company, Rick Perry became involved in the Grand National Roadster show in any way that he could in his early teens.

Since that time, no matter what other ventures he was involved in, his overriding dream was to produce the quality of an automotive show that had first captured his imagination at a very young age.

After working for and with such legends in the industry as Harold Bagdasarian, “Blackie” Gejeain, Don Tognotti and numerous others, the time was right to make his dream a reality. In 2001, with the help of many valued friends including the luminaries mentioned above and his family, Rick launched the Oakland Rod, Custom and Motorcycle show at the Oakland Coliseum and Arena, the home of the Grand National Roadster show for many years. While the show was all we could have hoped for in terms of tradition and quality, we were forced to admit after three years that the venue could not support the type of event that we wanted to offer to our participants, spectators and vendors. In 2004, we made the decision to move the show to the Cow Palace, which had been the home to Show Promotions 50th Grand National Roadster Show in 1999. This was the last Grand National Show Rick had managed. At the Cow Palace, we have been able to partner with the management of the venue to produce a show that is ever changing and always exciting, yet manages to preserve the tradition of the shows that have existed for decades. We intend to continue celebrating innovation and creativity into the 21st century. Please take the time to look around our website and be sure to come back frequently to get our updates. If you take a minute and register your email address we will send the updates to you as they are made.
